The dengue syndrome

- classical dengue or break bone fever is an acute viral infection caused by four serotypes( 1 2 3 and 4 ) of dengue viruses.

Mode of transmission is via aedes aegypti mosquito.

Reservoir of infection is both men and mosquito and transmission cycle is man mosquito man.

The sign and symptom are chills with high fever intense headache muscle and joint pain , photophobia extreme weakness anorexia constipation altered taste sensation abdominal tenderness dragging pain in inguinal region sore throat.
